Yes, we do. Better Care offers support for children, and all of our carers hold a current police check and a working with children's check. This allows our carers to work safely with individuals under the age of 18.
Unfortunately this is not one of the services that we provide. However, we are able to assist you in finding a nursing service that provides the care that you need.
At Better Care, we aim to match the right support worker to each participant. This allows us the opportunity to create a genuine connection and provide the best support or our participants. Our support staff have up-to-date training with our COVID-19 plan and all staff have completed the COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Control Certificate. Better Care ensures that they will follow all COVID-19 safety protocols and implement our COVID-19 safe plan. Better Care staff will always keep up to date with current COVID-19 government rules and regulations
All staff have up-to-date training and are highly experienced support workers. Better Care is well known for professionalism and ensures provision of privacy and confidentiality. Better Care educates staff to ensure that they are always working within their scope of practice. Better Care is committed to following the code of conduct, and ensures that every staff member is educated on this.
At Better Care, we endeavour to help NDIS participants utilise their NDIS plan to get the most out of it so that the participant can live life comfortably with the support they want.
Better Care offers personalised support services for all participants. Our primary services include community access, personal care, home care, and meal preparation services. We can also assist with overnight stays and day trips. For any further enquiries, please contact us directly.
Consistency is key. We ensure that Better Care will find the right match for every participant by sending 2-3 carers for a meet and greet, and the participant can inform us of their preferred choice. However, if a particular staff member is out sick, or having time off, we will contact you directly to inform you and let you know who will be sent as a replacement for that particular day. We work with you to find the perfect carer that suits your needs and shares similar interests and hobbies. This allows our support staff to form strong connections with our participants, resulting in the highest quality support and best care possible.
Clients are welcome and insured to travel in our carer's vehicles. Alternatively, the carer can accompany the client in a taxi. Clients may be able to get taxi vouchers or half-price taxi cards. Better Care also has a wheelchair-accessible vehicle that clients can travel in. If you would like to utilise this option, the vehicle must be booked 1-2 weeks in advance.
